Replacing Steering Wheel Radio Controls

The volumne control on my steering when no longer works. Is it possible to replace just one of these, or do I need the whole assembly?

The local dealer says no, and wants $275 for the assembly.

Stock radio, '94 Formula....

Thanks!
CL

2 torx scres on teh back of the wheel will get the air bag assembly off. Then you will see the volume controls in all their glory. Pulling the wheel is the same as any other wheel, take off the big nut in the middle and then attach the puller to the two holes in the middle and pull it off.
