Stealth Box owners... Inside... Post yours.

I also would like some feed back as to how much bass you can get out of the stealth enclosure. I REALLY don't want to get rid of my dual 12's in the T-Top box, but the weight bugs me...... I deleted my spare and jack, but having that heavy box back there.... I get a lot of compliments at shows. I COULD just leave it and take the box out when I go to the track. Would they make a Stealth box for an L5 or L7 Kicker Square sub??..

Dual 12" Infinity Kappa Purfect. The box nd the dual subs have some weight. I've been doing more weight reduction and I'm bitten now. I can break them loose in 2nd doing 40. I've held it sideways thru high 2nd. anyway...

How do you like your Stealth Enclosure. T-TOp box converted owners? All opinions are welcome.

Here's mine. The amp (Cadence z8000 500w) is floating around under the box. I've been to lazy to go down to Lowes and have a 2x10 cut to mount the amp to. My Remote wire is chewed up too.

I'm going to go with a Stealthbox on mine just so for the convience of the T-tops, it rains sporadicly in FL. Mine will be custom fiberglass though, giving me a little extra air space. Anyways fiberglass is your friend if you want Kicker, but Kickers like air space, which is absent. I say a Type-R 12 and a 1000watts would have you good.

If it's loud pounding bass you want like for cRap music you won't be happy with a Stealthbox. The internal volume is just too small. I'm using 10" subs in my setup and for the type of music I listen to they work fine. The enclosure's internal volume is at the minimum recommended for them which is a bit of a compromise. Using 12" subs is an even bigger compromise. If it weren't for the fact that I'll be selling the car in the spring I was going to try a set of 8" subs since the enclosure's internal volume would be a better match for optimal performance.

No offense, but you can't expect a lot of bump out of 2 10" Type-S, and I imagine your only running 300 to each one? That is a very clean install though, looks like cancellation might an issue as well.

Back in the 80's I ran a single 10" Pyle subwoofer with only 150W in a 1 cubic foot enclosure and it hit much harder and played louder than my current setup. And like I already said I don't listen to music that needs bone rattling bass so my dual Type-S subs with 300W each meets my needs just fine. And as long as both subs are in phase with each other, which they are, there is no cancellation.

Their high end amps actually are decent though.

That kinda sounds like an oxymoron. "Pyle" and "high end" in the same sentence?

i have a mtx 10 inch thunger 6000 in a stealth box just waiting to be put into my camaro. have heard a set up like the one i will have and i think it puts out plenty of base, especially for the music i listen to.
I really like you box Bayer, it looks extremely clean and i would say just hold onto it, because it sounds like you really like base. and i dont believe the stealth box is what your looking for.

O ya, where you get your Trans Am plate for the back? Do you know if they make a FireHawk one?

Are you referring to the cargo cover in the hatch area? That was made by Steve at SubThump.com. I don't know if he still makes them or not though.

I've had both these setups before and overall I like the dual 12s in my T-top box the best. And I must add that there is Zero comparison to a 10" stealthbox and dual 12s in the t-top box. In fact, if you downgrade, you may be disappointed in the loss of bass.

What I do is run the big subs in the summer when you can actually cruise around on warm days with the tops out and the windows down. Always nice to turn some heads and **** off old people. But in the fall, I take out the big box and put in my stealthbox since there is no need to jam when it's cold outside and you just don't need as much bass inside the car. The stealth is certainly adequate for that.

And that is something that you could do as well. Keep what you have and get a stealthbox that you can switch out whever you feel like it. I guarantee, if you get rid of the box and 12s, you will kick yourself in the *** everyday next summer

So you change out your system in Summer because you can roll down your windows and **** people off?
