Arrow Replacing front Bose speakers... need advice

My front Bose speakers are shot and the wiring is most likely too. (long story, previous owner related)

What I have in the car is the 93, 3 speaker Bose system. (2 front, 1 rear) and an MTX 4 channel amp with 2 huge MTX subs. (again, previous owner)

This thing pump way too much bass than I need, but I'm missing the front speakers. I know just replacing the front speakers with aftermarket won't work well due to the difference in Oms.
I currently have a Pioneer DEH-P47DH headunit with a PAC Bose bypass harness. The rear speaker is powered by the rear BOSE amp and the rear subs have their own amp. Question is, can I just get two aftermarket speakers and wire them directly to the headunit? (instead of the bose bypass)
Will the headunit support them? (It's "45W/4") Will this work OK?
I'm not too much into car stereos and a factory Bose 5 speaker system sounded just fine to me, so I really don't care as long as it sounds "OK".
And if this will work, which speakers should I get? Which brand, wattage, size, etc?
Thanks!
