Replacement stock speaker for 2000 SS Monsoon system

I blew my passenger door speaker in 2000 Camaro SS with Monsoon system. I went to my local audio / elec store and they only sell the speakers in pairs plus they said they didnt have a pair to fit the door.

Anyone know what size the speakers are in the door and where I could get a single stock replacement (or equivalent)?

TIA.

Try ebay. They are 2 ohm Bose speakers. Regular 4 ohm car speakers won't work well.

6.5" is the speaker size.

I think Infinity makes a few 2 Ohm component speakers that will work too.

Is this your speaker? I am not too familiar with Camaros myself.

Re: Replacement stock speaker for 2000 SS Monsoon system

If it is that is a good price! It is listed as 10.5" - and km9v states it is 6.5" - I would if the "housing" is the extra size?

I think the Monsoon system was the same for the firebird/camaro/transam for that year (2000).

I would love to verify the part number - I would buy it tonight !

hmmmmm - maybe I will have to call dealer if no one else knows ??

Can you read the part number on the speaker?

Camaro and Firebird are different in that the Camaro Monsoon has a coax speaker in the doors and the Firebird Monsoon has two separate speakers (mid and tweeter).

The 10.5 inch dimension is the length of the carrier on which the speaker is mounted, not the speaker itself. You get the speaker, carrier, wires and connector with that part.

Thanks. I called dealer and they cannot get them - discontinued by GM. But I did verify the part number. So I placed the Amazon order.
