question on wiring power windows in a 1998 camaro...

question on wiring power windows in a 1998 camaro...

Hey.. i have a 1998 camaro it has power locks but manual windows and manual mirrors i am going to be buy 2 doors for $50.00 that has power everything but i was wondering how would i wire it or get a harness so the windows and mirrors and and how this is done. can i just get part of a harness and plug it into the main wiring harness or not this is new to me i didnt open my dash yet or nothing.. and will i have to remove my steering wheel to do this if os how is the steering wheel removed? any suggestions???

you shouldnt have to remove your steering wheel... where did you get that from???


but, as far as the windows. you just need to wire it to the fuse box so you can put a fuse in it so the wires dont fry if to much power gets through or something else. other then that all you should need is the relays for the windows and your good.

if you need help google it or visit the12volt.com and it should help out.

Old post but did you ever figure this out? My old manual mirror controls have become brittle and fell apart. I'd like to replace them with the powered versions and was wondering about the mirror harness also.
