rear speakers (next to back seats)

i was wondering what i could do to make these just play bass, and would it sound messed up in a convertible? (trying to get past the no subs when top down issue)

Im not sure which car you have, or if you have the Monsoon, but with the Monsoon system, those speakers only play bass.

If you wanted to do an aftermarket system, all you would need would be 6.5" speakers with a low pass filter on them.

You CAN get adequate bass from that area of the car, but you really need to seal in the wall back there. A guy on LS1.COM did a custom fiberglass mold back there and totally tightened it up, then put in 6.5" JL Audio subs in there and he said it sounds great. He compared it to a single 10" sealed stealthbox.
