Rear Speakers?

How exactly do you get the rear speakers off on a convertible? They have the grills covering them and they don't seem like they want to come off without breaking. Anybody done this before?

Take the convertible top down first. Look up where the seat belt retracts. There is one screw holding on a square-shaped panel. Unscrew that, pull a bit and it'll come off. Unscrew the kickpanel and pull it off. Now you can pull gently at the rear interior panel and unbolt the rear speakers.

On that huge rear kickpanel there are those big torque bolts that hold the back seat in place. So you have to have the tools to take those off on each side to access the speaker? I got the seatbelt piece off and the only thing holding me back is that really big torque bolt.

I don't take the rear interior panel off. You CAN take it off, but I just push the panel out of my way a bit while I remove/install the new speakers.
