How to splice?

I got some Halo headlights and I want to hook up the LED in the middle up. It says I need to splice into my parking lamps or foglights. Does that mean to take the actual wires, cut them in half, then tie these in back together with it and tape up it? Or am I thinking about it wrong. The ends of the wires are just tips stripped off. If anybody can help, thanks! I have pics of the wires and lamps.

For this application T-taps would work fine. Go to any local hardware store and they should have them. This works fine for any low-current devices, such as the LED's. If you want the BEST connection possible, buy an automatic wire stripper. One grip of the wire stripper and it'll split open the wire, so you can solder the additional connections. Solder is always the best way to go when you are dealing with high-current devices.

What about trying those 3m connectors. Basically put the parking wire one on side and the led wire on the other clamp down with needle nose pliers and you done. very strong connection and no messy soldering

Those things suck.. t-taps would be much better. Be sure to get the right size tap.

I ended up getting some t-taps. Made things a lot easier. I definately recommend them if someone does an install like that. Thanks!
