Question rear defog melts 30 amp fuse! WTF?

So, This seems to be a reoccuring issue. In my fuse panel, the 30amp fuse for the power seats and rear window defogger keeps melting. I dont have power seats, so I know it is only the rear window defogger giving me the problems.

What gives? This is the second fuse that is melting due to this issue!

The panel label indicates it should be a circuit breaker ("BKR"), not a fuse. Have you tried using the correct piece?

Hey Fred. Long time no talk!

I have finally remembered why I put the fuse in the place of the breaker. Took a while, since I did it years ago, and Ive been out of the country (and away from my car) 2 1/2 years of the past 4!

Anyways, here is the link to the thread I found addressing this issue:
Defroster switch... - LS1TECH

I was having the problem where the defroster would turn off after only 30 seconds or so. After finding that thread, I put the fuse in.

Interesting though, nobody on that board is having problems with the fuse melting?

Thoughts?

*edit* since I found the solution over there a long time ago, I posted in that thread to see if anyone else has experienced this problem too.

Thanks!
Cody
