radio comes on but no sound comes out?

radio comes on but no sound comes out?
The radio was working fine for the last year and a half or so. Then about a week ago it started acting wierd...volume **** not working, seek/next track button wouldn't respond and now no sound but, all the buttons work fine. 
You guys think the radio is just trash now or is there a fix for it
it's a sont xplod btw
