whenever i plug my radar detector into my cig Lighter i blow a fuse (#11 to be exact) on my 86 z-28. just owndering if i can fix that, so i can use a radar detector (cuz i occassionaly speed )

i use a passport 7500 if that might be the problem, i really like escorts cuz they work really well, especially the passports, but if i have to go to a differnt one i will , as long as they have good track record.
