this is probably a stupid question... but i was wondering if i would be able to completely swap out the LT1 factory BOSE system, and install a LS1 monsoon system?? would the monsoon unit even fit in the LT1 dashboard?? im not big into car stereo, so i really dont feel like spending lots of money for aftermarket stuff. thanks for any help!!

 

If only given the choice between the BOSE and POS Monsoon system I would take the BOSE system every time. The Monsoon is total crap IMO.

I would suggest getting a radio off of a board member or try to find one in a junkyard. You could always ask someone with the Monsoon to take some measurments. 4th post and still no help...sorry

 

You are talking about the head unit correct? Yes, it will fit. They are both 1.5din

 

thanks for the help guys! the only reason i ask is because it is SO hard to find a used BOSE CD unit. and i have seen a few monsoons for sale. but i just happened to find a guy with a BOSE CD from a 96! so im buying that from him. my next question.... i have a 94Z with the tape deck, front 2 speakers, and rear sub. i am also looking to buy the 2 rear speakers from the same guy as well. what will i need to add the 2 rear speakers?? i used to have a 95Z with the BOSE 4 speaker/1 sub, and that was perfect for me. so im trying to duplicate that without spending too much money! any help would be appreciated! thanks again.
