Another Bose HU replacement question

Hi,
Another nooby here, new to Camaro Z28.com and Car Audio for that matter...... I've just replaced the Factory Bose head unit in my 95 Camaro with a new Panasonic CQ-DFX572U MP3 player/ Scosche FAI-3 speaker level converter. The HU plays fine now that I hooked up the power antenna/Amp romote wire...... But when I try to play CD's it acts just like the power antenna/Amp romote wire was disconnected. I see by the Graphic EQ that the HU is playing the CD but I get no sound at all. I've checked and rechecked the wires but still have no luck, it doesn't matter if it's a new CD or CD-R.....or MP3 CD-R. Any help would be appreciated!

By the way, this is a great site!

There should be two wires comming off your HU, one for remote turn on that switches on with the HU and turns on your amps and another for ant. turn on that switches on only when you have the radio on so your antenna isn't always up. You need to connect these wires to the proper places. If you have your remote turn on lead connected to the ant. turn on then obviously the amp will only turn on with the radio.

What kind of GSX-R do you have? I assume you do by the name.

I kinda figured thats what it was, I ended up connecting the External Amplifier Control Lead off the HU to the Power Antenna/Amp Remote Lead on the wiring harness..... this cured the problem and now I have sound when an MP3 or CD is selected.

I've got a 93 GSXR 750...... It's been punched out to 907cc and has everything you could possibly imagine done to it modification wise....... It'll keep up with all the Liter bikes that are out now (it'll even smoke a few of them).
