i want to get a pioneer flat screen head unit (avic-d2) but it is too tall for that outer shroud (or what ever you call it) that goes around the the radio and a/c on the camaro. if anyone knows who make an outer shroud that would allow the flat screen to fit please tell me otherwise i will get a flip out screen

 

I've seen a couple of Camaros that had double DIN HU's in the dash and they have all looked like crap IMO. Each one did a real half assed job of trying to make a trim ring. I think your best bet would be to go with the flip out unit instead.

$475 for the install? I wonder how much of that price went towards fabricating that piece and re-working the dash.
