Phoenix Gold amps.....any good??
Benn watching the mrv-f540 amp and ebay for a while and was looking at review when i cam accross the phoenix gold amps
Are they any good?
Looking at the Phoenix Gold Octane-R 8.0:4 125wx4 (4ohm)
or the 9.0:5 125x4 (4ohm) and +400w for a sub
And there about 1.2 the price of a alpine i was looking at...
What do ya'll think???

I don't know about those Octane-R's though... Wonder if they put out what they say they can? I know the PG Ti's and the Tantrum's were solid amps, but unsure of Octane-R.
My brother has 2-MRV-F540's in his 00SS and they are some sweet amps.

Phoenix Gold amps are good. I would look for older PG amps like the xs or tantrum or Ti series. I have heard they were bought out and new stuff is no longer made in the USA. In my opinion they don't have the power they used to.
