Now, Alpine Type R VS Fosgate Punch HX2

Sorry, I hate to do this agian, but I want to make sure I get the best for my money!
Anyway, I'm considering either the Alpine Type R 10" sub (SWR-1041D), or the Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 10" sub (RFD2210).
The sub will be going in my drivers side stealth box which has .5 cu/ft of volume. Thanks again to everyone helping me!

I voted hx2 since it seems to be better suited for your enclosure volume.

I own three 10" punch HX2's.......... and I voted for the Type-R. Not that the HX2's are a bad speaker or anything...... they are great...... I just think my friends three 10" Type-R's are better.

That's a much closer question than the perfects. I say the alpine may sound better. But the hx2 can handle way more power. So that might be a selling point for the rockford in this case. Plus it is a little better suited for the enclosure. HTH

Hmmm...

The amp being used is a Crunch P2200 that I'm running bridged a 4ohms. Although it isn't exactly high end, it was more than my Lightning Audio Lightning Bolt sub could handle.
It seems that both subs are in the power range, but the Fosgate does give a little more head room...

I have one HX2 RFD2210 in a drivers side stealh box in my bird. Powered by a Sony amp. I'm putting 600w @ 2Ohm's into it. It sounds crazy. X7 is right...that sub will fit the box better in regards to airspace.

I just picked up another RFD2210, and a 1500bd amp . That sub will go in the sub thump passenger side box. That gets installed this week . I gotta vote HX2's on this one.

In my camparison: Both trios of 10" were in small sealed boxes. Mine is .75cuft before woofer displacement per woofer. His was roughly the same. And both were powered by a bd1000a1.
