in my old TA (you'll laugh) i put actual indoor carpet padding under the carpet. it helped! then I went for new seals and weatherstripping and dynamatted the hatch area and door panels. suddenly it didn't sound like a tin can.

This is a hard top right?....
If it is, drop the headliner and stuff a good pound of polyfil in the center section of the roof. Then completely cover the left, and right t-top areas with 2 layers of "Second Skin Damplifier", and for the final touch put a layer of "Second Skin" under the dash pad. I just did those two areas on my car about a month ago. These were the only two areas in my car I Had not sound deadened yet, an IMO It made a noticeable differance. Then put 2 layers on the inside of the outer door skins, 2 on the floor, at least 1 layer in the "body bag area" , and also the whole spare tire area, then a layer or 2 on the rear deck area, also the behind the sail panels , and in the area behind the sail panel speakers. Then from under the car, with a can of spray on bed liner spray the under side of the "body bag area". make sure you also spray it really good up above the left and right exhaust tailpipe area.(I used a whole can in this back area) make sure you tape up your exhaust pipes to keep the bed liner off them. If you're not tired yet, jack up the car and spray a fresh layer of undercoating up in both rear wheelwells. "Man!.. I'm tired already!"...LOL!
