New white faced "El Glow" Gauges/ oil pressure gauge problem
I put the new "El Glow" white faced gauges on this evening, and noticed that my oil pressure gauge now reads 45 psi (At idle) and will make it to 50 at WOT....i know for a fact that the psi were NEVER that high. What did i mess up here, has anyone else done this, and what am i over looking? When the engine is shut off it reads 5 psi, and sometimes 0psi. did i somehow disengage the back of the gauges, eventhough the whole cluster never came out? I also believe that my amp gauge is also messed up. (The two are right next to each other) none of the others are messed up...HELP!!!

when you put the needle indicators back on the faces the car has to be running..just put it back on at idel where it normaly goes...i put on one of those glowing gauges..thought it was pretty cool till my speedo was off...and the face guage started to warp and wrinkle/bubble enuff my needles would stop...my speedo was off 10-15mph and i had it set dead nuts when i put everything back together...thus the 2 speeding tickets i got due to the f'cked up face gauge!!
I never took the needles off, the kit came and said that i could install without taking needles off, so i didnt! I guess i should have
Should i disassemble dash, and take the Oil Pres. needle off, and then do what you said by running vehicle and reinstall at idle? Thanks!
