New H/U install?

I am going to attempt to install my new Pioneer H/U this weekend, and wanting any advice I can get. I have a 96 Z28. I was looking at the wiring that came with it and it only has wires for four speakers, so how do I connect all 6 of my speakers?

Also should I be worried about the security system, do I need to deactivate it or something before taking the old one out? Thanks for any help!

Best bet is to buy the Harness that will connect to the Factory side. You can usually get them at the same place you bought the head-unit. Best Buy typically has them as well, along with any car stereo shop.

Do you have the Bose Head Unit??? If so then you may find it doesn't sound all that great, as the Bose system uses separate amps at each speaker, and 1 Ohm Speakers. In this case best bet is to purchase 4 aftermarket speakers for the doors and sail panels. then run new wires to them and connect those new wires to the speaker connections on the harness connections.

Or you just go all out and install a Amp in the trunk, and run all the new speakers off that This way you get much better sound, and while you're at it, a Sub is also a good add-on here as well

Good Luck
