need some advice on speakers/components

alright so basically...i have Orion components in the front and MB Quart Speakers in the back and then an Infinity 1242W 12" sub powered by a Bazooka mono amp. the speakers are hooked up to factory amp i beleive and hatch crap is outa there. basically, im gonna be going with 2 12" Polk Momos and a nice mono amp to power those. anyways, how would Polk Momo components for the front and coaxials in the back sound compared to what i have now. i would be getting a nice 4 channel amp to power those, i was checking out Phoenix Gold amps, i would do the mono for the 2 12"s and 4 channel for the rest. basically would i benifit from that over what i have now, or not. and lastly how would it be hooking up what i have now(the Orions and MB Quarts) to a better 4 channel amp then what i have factory? my friend said some crossovers would make the Orions blast, but im wondering if its worth it to go to the Momos first of all, and then if not, would it be worth it to go to a nice 4 channel. BTW i will be getting a new head unit, i have factory now tho if anyone cares to know. thanks guys.

if you were to just amp any aftermarket speakers, it'll sound a lot better then what you have now. just get a nice 4 channel amp and see how many rms watts it puts out and get speakers that much in that range. i have 4 kicker speakers amped by a 4 channel amp and i can hear things i've never heard in a song and you can crank the hell out of it especialy with those 2 new subs your putting in. i have the same setup as you and i love mine.

i agree i wouldnt reccomend switching out the speakers you have now unless they are blown. instead put some better cleaner power to them.

once you amp a pair of front speakers its hard to go back. ive had to put an amp on my front speakres in teh last three cars ive owned.. not cause its way louder just cause the music sounds better.
