My middle speakers stopped workin on my SS!

Hey all, the title says it all, one day my cars stero is workin great then today when i turn it on i get a kinda blah sound with no bass, i then fool around with the ball and fade etc, trying to figure out whats wrong then i place my hand on the set of speakers that is right behind my seat ( i have monsoon 6 speaker system) and i feel nothing no vibration what so ever. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but for the last 2 days i have noticed a rattleing sound comeing from the passenger middle speaker it could be the seatbelt rattlin against the interior pannel but i dont know, i didnt bother to see what it was because i thought it was nothing and now my middle speakers dont work at all, but the front and trunk ones do.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be? Its not a fuse otherwise all the speakers would go out. Could it be that the wires became disconnected from the amp and that is what is causein no power or sound to go to them? I am really at a loss

Also i know this is asked alot but is the factory location for the amp by the spare tire right? I took off that panel and looked in there and i saw teh tire iron, the spare tire and a shock sensor for the alarm but no amp

Please if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it...its the only thing i got going for me right now and i gotta have music in the winter any help is appreciated thanks alot!

aren't the monsoon 8 speaker systems?
2 in the dash or somethin, 2 in the doors, 2 in the rear panels, and 2 in the rear deck (hatch part)
is it a little static-y like it is blown? i'm sure you checked for it but with the other speakers working, it might be a little harder to notice a little static noise
if then you blew your speakers i guess, and time for some new ones
and if you don't have them, i would suggest bass blockers
they protect the speakers from blowing (if htat's what yours did) and my friend has them in his 97 camaro (monsoon) and he can crank it way way up and keep it from blowing
i suppose they more likely keep it from distorting but i think it also helps speakers from blowing though
