i'm sure this has come up before but for some reason the search function wasn't working. i'm thinking of putting this in my z and was wondering if its good or not. does it hit hard or am i better off getting a bazooka tube

 

I think some come loaded with a sub, some do not. Some are amplified, some are not. Which one are you looking at?

i was looking into getting the one that comes with just the 10'' woofer (thunder 6000 series) and use my own amp, b/c the woofer that comes in the whole package deal is a paper woofer and doesnt put out as much power, however ity does come w/an amp?

 

Whoa! Well I hope you're not buying from cructhfield. Most expensive place there is. The thunderform is thought to be "less then the best". A high quality unloaded stealth can be had for $112. Load with an Alpine Type-R for like $90. That leaves you almost $200 to buy an amp. The JBLBP600.1 can be had for like $160 and it'll ROCK that Type-R. And I'm sure it'll sound cleaner and louder then the MTX. If you can find it for under $250 then it MIGHT be worth it. But keep in mind, you won't have the upgrade-ability that you would with a seperate amp and a decent sub.

 

What does this mean? Paper woofer? Paper is one of the best materials for a cone.

 

what about a bazooka bass tube how are they?
