MTX Sub made for Bose System

Hey Im definitely don't know anything about electronics, subs, speakers, or anything like that, but I'm interested in finding something small and easy. I ran across this and its custom made to fit my camaro-- any ideas about how this would be? Sound good? Look good? Easy to install? Any info or opinion would be GREATLY appreciated.

It's not really made for the Bose system, it's made for all F-bodies. To get the most out of any sub you need to upgrade the head unit to have a sub output, and that sub doesn't come with an amp, so you'd need that as well. If you have the Bose system, some will debate this, but I'll tell you that you need a converter since the stock head unit only sends a signal to the stock amps.

Well the thing with that is that it says it comes with a built-in amp, so any idea how that would be? Also, I already have a new head-unit. There was some debate over that as well. I took my car to Circuit City and they told me that it couldnt be done, and then I took it to good ol' Audio + / Ziebart, and they did it in an hour. Ive had it for a year now with no problems.

But if that sub/amp seems pricey do you have any ideas for a nice setup around the $3-400.00 range?

These enclosures are sold without build-in amp too, check ebay. In my opinion, they sound good for the money. I have one in my '96 and with JL 500/1, which is overkill for it, bass is clean and loud. But if you expect to get the same output as from couple of 12" in a box, you will be badly disapointed.
