Cool Looking for comments and thoughts on my system idea

Well i have decided that i need to do a serious upgrade on the sound system in my Z. I just wanted some input as to what everyone thinks of my idea. I already have an aftermarket Pioneer headunit that is quite nice. DEH-8300 i think.

3 10'' Infinity Perfect VQs
Sealed box .67 cu. ft. each, seperate chambers
3 sets of 63.5i 3 ways for the doors, backseat, and hatch area
1 set of Infinity C.M.M.D. tweeters to be installed up front.
JBL Powervalve 1200.1 amp for the subs
Coustic 481QE for the others
0/1 gauge power and ground wire
12 gauge speaker wire
twisted pair RCAs
2 1 farad capacitors
200 amp alternator
Optima yellow top or similar

Sounds like you did some reserach...seems good. I might say that most cars that sound really good don't have back speakers. Its all about Front stage imaging. I wouldn't put speakers in the hatch, only in the back seats mainly for passengers (saves you money too). I can barely tell my back ones are ever on. Also over my time researching, I have found a very good amp for an awesome price the Hifonics BX1500D amp I'd thought i'd share you my treasure cuz I was gunna buy that same amp your looking at.
Oh and that site doesn't show it but that power is RMS like the 1500x1 ohm. DO some research on it...you'll see.

heh 0/1 gauge is overkill, unless your looking to upgrade to some serious power later... you could run your 1200 watts off 4 gauge...

your stock alt should be able to handle that power without to much of a sweat.

3 10" and 1200 is a good combo...

for me, I only need place mids/highs in the frontstage... and would only consider putting dedicated mid-bass in rear. a well install comp set should be plenty loud for all passangers to hear.

and your gonna wana get a 2-channel amp for your frontstage...

the caps will be a waste of money with a 200 amp alt and a yellow top...
