line noise, cause unknown.

I swapped my system out of my truck and put it into my car. It consists of an alpine deck, fosgate amp, and two jl 10dw4's. my problem is that i get noise coming through the subs-its a constant low rumble, even with the radio turned all the way down. it doesnt change with engine rpm as some vehicles ive heard with line noise do, its just stays the same pitch. and when i hit the power locks/windows switches i get feedback through them as well. i have the rca's running down the left side of the car underneath the carpet and the power and memory wire's running down the right side, so the rca's are isolated from the power wires. the thing is that i was having the same problem with the system when it was in my truck. does anyone have any ideas as to why i would be getting this noise?

You might look for a nick in the insulation of the RCA cables feeding the sub amp, maybe try some new ones even if you don't see a problem. Also make sure you have a good ground for the amp. If not it could be a problem with the amp.

ok, i'm leaning towards it being the rca's too. they were just some cheap ones that came in an amp kit. I reckon i'll try some new ones out. thanks.
