lightweight system

I was wondering if anyone here as built a lightweight system for their car. I might be doing this in the near future with a couple of 8 inch subs I have and an amp I got for free.

Can anyone throw me some ideas, or tell me about their experiences?

Re: lightweight system

best bet would be a stereo with two front speakers and a base tube in the very back. i believe this would be lightest..
infinity basslink is a pretty small little sub system.

if you use a mdf box with two twelves.. well the weight ads up fast.

Nice TA, just a thought, what do you do more of, race or cruise listening to tunes..yes you add weight by putting subs in boxs in the back, but some times weight in the back is a good thing....lose the jack/spare and race it with less than a half a tank of fuel and it might be close to a wash weight wise..also if they are in boxes, then if you do it right, you can take them out on race day.....
