Kill switch

I have no idea how to set up a kill switch on my car, but I know I want one. I don't have any experience on how to do anything with wiring, but if I have instructions I'm pretty sure I can do it. So, how would I go about hooking up a kill switch that cuts out my fuel pump, and maybe have it where you have to have the fog lights turned on (I don't have power windows or I would use the one from Brent's site to do this)? Also, what materials and tools would I need?

Re: Kill switch

I'm doing that exact thing right now. Do you have foglights, and if so, do you want to keep the functionality of the switch? It's a bit more complex to do the latter. The problem comes from the fact that the switch doesn't have power running through it unless the headlights are on. You will basically need a relay, a diode, some wire and electrical connectors. Toolwise, you will need your basic electrical tools: wire cutter, crimper, wire stripper (some tools have all three of these built in) and a soldering iron.
