I am installing a keyless entry on an 03 grand am and it wont work at all if i hook the white wire hot like it say in the directions but if i ground it it works but only lock unlocks it a unlock locks it. i tryed reversing the lock unlock wires but it did the same thing. could someone who knows about the one wire lock system give me a clue about what is going wong here.

PS i do have the 1.5K resistor in line

 

problem solved the instruction manual had two errors in it, the white wire was supposed to go to ground and they said 12+. They also said the resistor should be in the yellow wire and it actually should have been in the green. let it be know that valiant sucks.
