Kenwood head units

I need to replace my el cheapo Jensen head unit, which has started skipping like crazy, and won't even play many mp3's. I'm looking at replacing with a Kenwood head unit, will these perform decently? I'm just looking for basic good performance, I have a scosche adapter using the stock Bose system.

I've had Kenwood's in my cars for years

I would recommend that you go with one of the Excelon decks though, better options and they seem to hold up a little better

You links didn't work, but here's a good place to get a deck:
OnlineCarStereo.com: Kenwood Excelon Decks

I actually run an older 892 and it's served me well.

If you don't like any of those prices / models, I have also had good luck with Alpine decks as well, but still prefer Kenwood Excelons over the Alpines

I've had a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X991 in my Camaro for about 1-1/2 yrs and it's never skipped on me yet.
OCS is also where I bought my Kenwood.

I have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X679 and love it.
If I were to buy a new one today I would get one that has an .
There are a lot of stations out there now.
Very cool thing to have you get information from the radio station on whats playing.
Darn I see they don't make one with the HD tuner built in but you can get the add on box.
