I bought one off of ebay for a 97 and older camaro. What bolts/pieces of molding need to come off to take the old tape deck out and put the cd player in? I was never good at figuring that out!

Re: Installing a BOSE CD player. Not downgrading. Just installing.

In my 95 Z/28 I replaced the stock Bose CD player with an after market one and I had to first remove the glove box (3 little 7mm? screws underneath), then on the left side of the inside of the glove box, there are a couple more screws that hold the middle piece that goes around the cd player. Under the steering wheel on the plastic piece there are 2 phillips screws to take out, then a couple 7mm? on the bottom of that same piece. Slide that piece off and then there should only be I think 2 more screws on the left side of the bezel that goes around the CD player. After that, take the middle piece off and there should be a few screws holding the actual deck in there. Thats how it was on mine, and it only takes like 10 minutes to get it all off, if that.
