Infinity Reference or Alpine Type S 6.5s?

I think I might be getting a set today, but I noticed the Alpines are listed as 6.75" speakers so they would fit better. They're around the same price, but which ones would sound better with a stock HU? Going by the reviews it looks like the Alpines have better bass, but their frequency response is listed as 35Hz-30kHz and the Infinitys are listed as 53Hz - 21kHz. Does the larger frequency response range mean anything?

These Alpines?

Or these Infinitys?

I'm going to be powering these with just the stock head unit. I won't have a sub anytime soon, so I want something with decent bass. I know it won't be anywhere near as good as it would be with an amp and sub.

If it's bass performance you're concerned about you can forget about the Infinity speakers. Their poor midbass performance in my car is why I got rid of them. I had them high passed at 80Hz @ 18dB/octave and they distorted badly at high listening levels.
