Ikesound

Has any one ordered from www.ikesound.com before? I am looking at an Alpine amp they have for 230 that lists for 400 or more. They say they are not an authorized Alpine dealer, is this why they can sell for much cheaper? Also I wanted to know if anyone dealt with them before to see if they were a good company and all that good stuff.

Re: Ikesound

I've had good service from them. Keep in mind they are not authorized dealers for many products.

Re: Ikesound

I've dealt with IkeSound before and got good service from them. I even had to make a return and didn't have any trouble at all.

Re: Ikesound

I blew the mid-woofer of a component set. I sent the set back and they sent me another to replace it.

Personally I like to buy items like HU's from an authorized dealer. IMO anything with moving parts in it should be covered by the factory warranty. If you buy the amp ask what kind of warranty they offer with it.

I've bought a lot of stuff through them, and they've always been good to deal with... but be prepared to wait... sometimes took them almost 2 weeks before they shipped something out to me... then another week in transit time... so... I guess that's the price you pay for getting equipment cheaper.

Is any of their stuff factory refurbished? I payed 700 for a in dash TV that isn't even near as nice as the alpin ones they have and they only want 550 for then!? Thats a hell of a deal if they are brand new.

Re: Ikesound

I emailed them and asked how they do such low prices and they say, directly quoted "...Our prices are so low because we buy and sell in large quantities and have a very low overhead" They also said it was because they don't have a showroom, they only operate out of warehouses.

They also gave me their ebay name to check out and I did... I don't deal with ebay at all so could some one tell me if this stuff is good/normal... Out of 52,000 some off responses only 733 were negative, seems good to me, but most of the negative ones were things like, paid for item but was never shipped, or returned but never received money back... but it seems like if you have over 50,000 respones, some people will be stupid and put those kinds of things, but what is the opinion of some experienced ebay people? also those people who left bad things only had like a small number next to their name, mostly under 50.
