How to choose a component set

I want to put in a component set in my STOCK stereo (10 speaker monsoon) I was wondering what would be the best component set to work with the stock hu, amp, etc. These sensitivity and rms ratings are screwing me up on deciding. Or what ratings should i look for when shopping around? I was looking at these infinity comp. sets and they are 2-90 rms and 92 dB, but then another alpine comp. set was 8-50 rms rms and 86 dB, so which would work better? Does anyone know the stock component set specs besides ohms and size?

The stock head unit won't power any set of aftermarket components we'll, you pretty much need a dedicated amp if you want good sound.

it all depends on how you like your music....if you like it loud and clear, at ALL levels stay away from alpine speakers, infinity is a good choice......jl audio makes an excellent component set....the newest boston acoustic component set is fu**kin awesome..very pricey though VERY pricey.the higher the db level # the better, 92 is right about par with most speakers, dont worry about the rms with component speakers, they will handle more power than coaxils, as long as you get a good amp that produces good clean power you will be all set. another little bit most speaker and amp manufacturers rate their rms power rating higher than they realy are but stick with the good name brands of amps......jl audio makes a good clean power amp, kenwood excelon amps...alpine amps. its all a matter of personal taste ..go to a dealer and listen.
