The tape player on my car is dragging pretty bad. I can't even use the CD car adapter because it keeps trying to auto-reverse the adapter. I've tried a tape player cleaning tape, but that doesn't work. Is there anything else I can try? How about trying to blow the dust out?

 

You need to get inside and clean the capstans and pinch rollers real good with alcohol and a swab. Blowing air in it won't do any good.

 

It still drags and tries to auto-reverse. What exactly do I need to clean?

 

If you've cleaned the entire tape path and it still drags there might be something wrong with the tape's drive system. May be time for a new deck.
