Help my speakers dont work!

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section but i just thought i would post it here ne way since it is LS-1 specific. My middle speakers are not workin on my car. Yesterday they were fine and now both of them stopped workin. The ones on the door do and the ones way back in the trunk do but not the middle ones. ( i have monsoon 6 speaker system)

Could it be that the speakers may have become disconected from teh amp? Or would it be something else? Not a fuse otherwise the radio/headunit would not work at all. So i am kinda of stumped on this, i have no aftermarket audio parts all stock. Anyhelp is greatly appreciated

Check the wires on both end to make sure they are all connected and in good running order. If they seem to be alright, take it to your local audio place (Best Buy is pretty good) and ask them to look at it. You may need knew speakers though though

I dont think i would need new speakers cause they were workin fine the other day...i mean isnt it weird that both of them decide to go out at teh same time? I am, pretty sure that it has to be an amp connection...what else could it be? Right now i have about 3" of snow on my car so i cant really check right now. I wasnt aware that best buy did car audio repair? Could i take it to the dealer? Would they be more helpfull?

You are probably right about the wires on the speaker end, but the wires at the amp and was the other end I was speaking of. Most Best Buys (atleast araound where I am...New Jersey) install speakers and car audio eqiupment. I try to stay away from dealerships at all costs, but that is my own personal preference.

But back to the speakers, the wires leading to the speaker have to intersect at some point, and there could be a problem at that point. Check the whole lines, since new speakers are always expensive. I would hate to but two brand new speakers or even an amp and find out that something really stupid was the cause of it, so I just everything, no matter how unlikely it is.

The speakers you are talking about, at least on my car, are woofers and supply only bass. Im not real sure of how the connections go to the amp but it could be between the radio and the amp.

OK, i drove car into boston today with the radio on and yes no bass, i did some research and they are tweeters. But on my way back from boston all of a sudden both of the tweeters started to work they were both workin for like 5 mins then i pull into my driveway a 90*incline and now only the drivers side one works. So i know they both work it is just a connection somewhere...I still havent had a chance to look at the amp yet due to snow being all over my car.
