HeadUnit Loses Power

2001 Camaro factory head unit which originally was a cassette with cd changer started losing power whenever hitting any rough pavement then would just shut down at any given time. Usually by hitting the dash power would come back on so after checking to see if there was a loose conection and finding nothing I assumed that the head unit was the problem. Went to the local wrecking yard and found a Monsoon replacement unit but with cd instead of cassette. Installed it and still have the same problem. Seems like there must be a problem somewhere with the wiring in the dash but just can't figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated. sixstringrazer@yahoo.com

Does it have the Bose or monsoon in it? When it cuts off do you hear a clicking sound coming from your glove box area?
