Headunit help

hey guys. i was playin my radio the other day pretty loud but how i always play it. i have a jvc headunit and was messing around with the settings on it for different sounds like hip hop and rock. when i put it to hip hop it sounded very distorted it so i changed it as fast as i could but the headunit shut off. i took it out and the fuse in the back was good as well as the one in the side panel by the drivers side door. all the connections are good and i even disconnected the negative side of the battery to try and reset it. when i took it out i put it in about 3 days later and it worked for about 10 seconds then shut off again. do any of you guys have any ideas that i could try to try and get it working again. thanks for the help

Re: Headunit help

HU connected directly to speakers or to bose/monsoon/other? Looks like you are constantly overheating/overloading HU. If it is connected to speakers directly, I would suspect that you melted one of speakers voicecoils, and it's impedance decreased dramatically (very common), and that is overloading internal HU amp. Try running HU disconnected from speakers/amps, see what happens. I need more info...
