Head unit Issues - Power on and off

I wired up my JVC cd player with the Scosche wire kit from walmart. It went color to color with the JVC harness with the exception of orange(illumination). The JVC harness didnt have orange.

Anyway! When I plugged it into the car everything was fine. When I turn the parking lights or headlights on the unit shuts off. As soon as I flip the lights off, the headunit turns back on. What could possibly be wrong? Thanks in advance!!

Whoa that's weird, you used a harness and matched everything?

Voltage, maybe? You sure your alternator is ok? Do the lights dim at idle? The deck in my Integra was doing that for a while... then the alternator died altogether.

Yea, I would have the battery and alternator tested at Autozone for free. If that don't work I think maybe your dimmer and power wires got mixed, shyt idk lol. Take it to a shop they will figure it out and fix if its simple for $20.
