Has anyone tried to install a heads up display in their ride?

I have seen the vettes with the heads up display and thought it would be pretty cool to try installing one in a fbod. I havent researched it yet but does any know if it is possible or if it has been done. Thanks

u cant use any stock heads up modules (Grand prix, Corvette) due to lack of space but a company makes a heads up display module for like $200 i read about it here somewhere i forget the company name tho someone will prolly come thru with a link.

anyone have pics of the Lingenfelter HUD installed in their cars? I wouldn't mind having it for $200, but I would want it to look perfect if I was gonna put the money down for it.

Thanks for the info. I will have to look into that. Anyone have pics? One question though. What do you mean by lack of space. Are the units out of a grand prix or vette too large to put on the dash. I would mold a fiberglass cover over it and paint the cover to match my interior.

The only way to put a vette/GP HUD in our cars would involve cutting the firewall apart and who knows what else, they are LARGE...

The VSDII unit is farily small and can be hidden in the cover panel of the dash. I am hoping to have the $$ for one this winter/spring.

That is the best unit I've seen, and honestly the only one... and I spent a LOT of time trying to figure it out...

Wow, that lingenfelter one is pretty cool. I think I might just get that, even though I don't need a HUD.
