You might want to check their reseller ratings.

Well first of all there is only one authorized Kicker dealer on the internet and that is sounddomain.com I believe. What does this mean? That if you buy that sub you have no warranty so you blow it you own it. Regardless of what the website claims they have no factory warranty. I work for a kicker dealer and we sell our S12L5 for $250 or $200 I forget which but the thing is we have retail locations and I you install it you get a 1 YEAR warranty but if we install it you get a 3 YEAR warranty. I would look into your local shops and see how much they sell it for. Ive been in the car audio industry for 4 years which when your 20 is a long time so I know my way around the stuff. Believe me find a shop you like and stick with it I have customers who ive worked on there second and third vehicles we take care of our customers and most other small shops will too. So invest sometime with them before you jump on the internet band wagon.

Believe it or not, $175 for that product is HIGH, when speaking in internet prices. If you head over to www.ikesound.com they have the same sub for $135, yes $135, and that's with shipping included! And Ike Sound is a highly reputable company. I've bought from them 3 times, and they've probably got one of the top ten highest seller ratings on eBay. The only flaw with them, is that shipping is not what it used to be. When they were new, shipping was like 1 week, but now with all the business they get, maybe a 2 week wait. But hell, i'll wait 2 weeks to save $100 or more.

As far as retail shops go, retail shmetail. I used to buy retail, and I did nothing but talk to monkey's and waste money that way. Warranty smarranty. Buy a good product and install it right and chances are you'll never need that warranty. If you ever do need it, any online store worth buying from has their own 1 year warranty. So, retail is not for me. And if you want to waste your money that way, doesn't bother me. But you can and will save money online. The only way I would ever buy retail again is if I somehow forgot all my installing skills. If you can't install yourself, you might want to go retail and try to find or wait for a free install sale.

And, I agree with rthompson, I wouldn't buy that sub. If I had to buy a new sub tomorrow, I would either get another Adire Brahma, or a Shiva. www.adireaudio.com

I've bought from Ike before. Will buy again when the time comes. Be sure and email in advance to see if the product is in stock. They'll get back with you.
