Jvc Kd-sx990

http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...X990&s=0&cc=01

i'm looking to buyu this receiver. I want Mp3 support, and a nice looking deck and this looks like a great one for the price and all the people i've talked to that have JVC decks say nothing but good things about them. I'm wondering this though

Why is the JVC Kd-SX980 more espensive than this deck (the 990). It looks like they are the exact same thing except for the appearance (the 990 looks better (chrome finished **** look instead of 'alloy' like the 980), but other than that they are the same thing, but the 980 is $10 more expensive???

also, i have the monsoon system, keep that in mind.

what u guys think?

See what you can find out about various MP3 units here: www.highwaymp3.com Might even be a review or two of the JVC unit there.

Thumbs up

I have the JVC Kd-SX980 and it only cost me $190.00 plus like 10 shipping from an online store back in August. I love it, except, if you like continuous 120+ nonstop trance mixes like I do (Essential Mixes in MP3 format), it is a very very very fu(king slow FF and rewind.

Take a look at the Kenwood KDC-MPV7019, I recently bought one and love it. It's REALLY fast at loading and reading MP3s (I've read it's currently the fastest on the market) and looks awsome. JVC is not bad also but I don't really like the look of that one and I've heard the JVC units are slower playing MP3s.
