Angry getting upset with car stereo

well...i just typed a long post...luckily it just got deleted before i pressed post. anyway, quick description of the problem...bought an alpine cd player for my mustang a while ago. sold the mustang. bought a 94 z28. went through wiring hell and got it to work. find out my driver's side, front speaker is blown. find out i have no speakers in the backseats. there is no wiring in the speaker holes in the backseats. dont know much about wiring so i have no idea how to buy new bose speakers and amps and wire them (hate even thinking about that because its way too expensive) or should i just say f*** it and scrap all the bose stuff, replace it all with alpine componenets, actually put speakers in the backseats, buy an amp and alpine sub and just put it in the trunk? what would you guys do?

Yes, scrap all the bose junk and go 100% aftermarket. You'll be much happier.

Re: getting upset with car stereo

if i do take that route what do i do with the factory harness? the speakers will have to be wired to the harness in place of the bose speakers? what about the wiring for the bose amps in the factory harness? what is the most simple way for me to wire new component speakers?

Re: getting upset with car stereo

I'd suggest just removing all of the old harnesses and crap for the radio, and get some new ones (non bose), and run them.. it would save a hell of a lot of confusion.. Not sure how the 4th gen bose is setup.. but on a 3rd gen there are 4 wires going to each speaker.. where as a normal setup would have only 2 wires to each speaker...
