a few questions
a few questions
Ok I'm planning a big interior project and plan on putting a decent system in along with the complete new interior on my car. so here goes
1) What would be the best "flat" style speaker to lets say put in the headliner? And where to get them.
2)Want to upgrade the speaker wiring harness. What to do for this and where to get the products?
3) I just want one 10-12inch sub which will be going under a hand built rear seat delete kit. What would be my best bang for a cheap buck.
4) A good amp to power all the speakers and the sub which will also be under the rear seat delete kit.
Thanks for all the help in advance.
Dustin

Re: a few questions
1) Not aware of any such animal.
2) Run 16AWG speaker wire to each location. Buy it from any store that carries what you need. Over priced wire like Monster Cable are a waste of money.
3) Bad idea. Rear seat subwoofer placement is not the best in an F-Body. There seems to be an acoustic null there that results in poor subwoofer performance.
4) I would go with a dual amp setup. One a dedicated subwoofer amp and the other for the rest of the speakers. I wouldn't place them under anything unless you take measures to ensure that the amps can breathe and not over heat.

Re: a few questions
Thanks for the help, maybe I'll put the sub in the cubby hole instead and I want to just make everything hidden. What would be the best Amps to do this with for a decent amount of money? I believe that Blaupunkt makes the Thin Line speakers, just found them! http://www.blaupunktusa.com/Blaupunk...s/Thin/Coaxial
Re: a few questions
Blaupunkt used to make great tape decks back in the 70's. They were never known for their speaker line. I don't know about now. As for an amp stick with a known brand name with as many watts as you can afford. You might want to look into a Class-D (or other flavor of the month class of operation amplifier) for the subwoofer.
Re: a few questions
I just want to put two speakers in my plastic headliner when I change out my interior I just found a place where I can get 2 of thsoe speakers for like $40 so I'm going to do that. I'm just doing my research before I buy anything!
