This is going in a 96 Camaro.

Well, my Bose CD took the boot this past week. All it does is give me errors, and I can't stand the radio anymore. So it's time for an upgrade. Here's what I'm looking at. I really like the Alpine CDA 9831, and I think I'll get that. But I'm not sure about the rest of the system. I'm going to get getting a stealth box. So, I'll be going with a 10", probably a Alpine Type R. I'm just not sure which amp and components to get. I'm only going with one set of component and the sub. I'm thinking about the Focal 165V Slims. Will those fit in the door? Now, onto the amp. I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Kicker 550.3. I don't plan on expanding to more speakers in the future, so that's the reason behind the 3 channel. Do you guys think that amp will be able to run the focals and the sub well? I'm open to other options as well for the components and amp. I would like to stick in that area spending wise. Thanks a lot.

I like to run a dedicated subwoofer amp myself. I don't like for the main amp and the subwoofer amp to share a common power supply. Just my personal preference.

 

So, you're saying two smaller amps would be my best bet?? I may have to check into that. Seems like a better idea that's for sure.
