Lightbulb Factory Amp power rating?

Here is an odd question. So I have the dual factory subs in the sail panels. They sound like dog crap. If I bought a dual voice coil 10" sub and a stealth box would the stock amp be enough to adequately power the sub? I dont mean db competition sound but good sound. What do you think?

Re: Factory Amp power rating?

The POS factory amp doesn't have enough ***** to drive a subwoofer. At least not to levels I can live with.

Get one with a high sensitivity, and if it doesn't work, get an amp for it.

I really don't see any point in trying to drive a subwoofer with an amp that puts out about 20W tops of clean power. I seriously doubt that you'll find a sub efficient enough to get by on so little power.
