DVD/CD players?

I have a 95 firebird formula with the factory headunit. I am thinking about repalcing it with either a pioneer or alpine in dash moterized CD/DVD player. I want to stick with pioneer and alpine because ive had both brands and was pleased. can anyone tell me a good alpine or pioneer cd/dvd player to get under 500.00. (Navigation I dont really care about) also I am trying to maintain a stock look in my car does anyone know where i can get one of the dash kits that says Formula on it. I have seen a couple of cars with them so i do know they are out there.

I would go with the pioneer. I think the Alpine is a better sounding unit but it has a monster of a box to have to hide away. The pioneer box would be easier to hide if it even has one( non nav probably doesn't). You will be hard pressed to find either for $500 unless its ebay or used.
