Radio replacement question

I'm considering replacing my Monsoon stereo. Does anyone make an AM/FM CD player that has the same size face & will fit in the dash like the factory unit ?

Re: Radio replacement question

Alpine and Pioneer used to make 1.5 DIN units...but that was years ago. eBay is going to be your best bet to find one...

Re: Radio replacement question

You can always use a 1 DIN HU and an adapter plate. They work very well, look decent, and that opens up the range of head units you may purchase.

Re: Radio replacement question

Thanks, since mine is still performing well I think I'll just keep it. That being said, does anyone know where to get replacements for those 4 little ***** that control fade, bass, etc. ?

Re: Radio replacement question

Man, I doubt you will find those. Maybe peruse ebay/junkyards for a broken unit you can rob em off of.

Re: Radio replacement question

Hmmm....that's what I was afraid of.I saw them on ebay for Volkswagens with the Monsoon system but I don't know how similar they are or if they would fit mine. I suppose I could find something that might work

Re: Radio replacement question

IMO, the single-din radios with an adapter plate look pretty terrible. I wish someone would make a radio that didn't look so out of place.
