dual voice coil sub question

I have a 10 inch dual voice coil Fosgate sub.

What is the best way to run it??

Run my amp in mono and use one voice coil or run my amp in stereo and use both voice coils???

Thanks.

u cant just use one voice coil u will ruin the sub , run the amp briged and wire the two voice coils parellel , that will make your amp run 2 ohms and put out the most power

Just make sure they are 4 ohm coils, if they are 2 ohm coils then you'll have a 1 ohm rating, and you'll need to make sure your amp is 1 ohm stable.

If they are 2 ohm coils and your amp is only 2 ohm stable then run each coil as a separate channel.

Basically you'll need to know the ohm rating on the coils and how low the amp can still be stable.
