door panel removal without electric windows

door panel removal without electric windows

i have a 97 camaro and im installing a few speakers, but how do i get the manual crank off?
also, the door lock indicator is being a PITA. any tips on getting that off?

On mine, I remove all the screws so the door will have some play. You just pull the crank back a little bit and push the door panel away until you see a c-clip holding it in place. Just wrestle that off and the crank will come off. Then just pull up, then away the door panel. My lock indicator just pulls off.

does it pull off the metal wire for the lock? which direction should i be pulling in?

Metal wire is not supposed to come off. It just unsnaps from the metal wire. It will be tuff if it is the first time, but over time it just gets loose.
