Door panel looseness

Door panel looseness

Posted this in the appearance section but figured it might be more relevant here with the installs and whatnot...

Just put my drivers side door panel back on(doing a new stereo, deadener install) and the door panel itself moves a little bit if I put any pressure on it up by the sideview mirror side of it. The left side is in solid, panel is completely over the lip of the door top itself, all hooks are in. Is it normal to have some give in the panel? It only moves if pull on it slightly.

sounds like it is not clipped on all the way. the panels are tricky, they look all the way on, but they arent take it off and try again to see if it works

I agree, most likely the clip isn't seated in that section. You need to sort of drop it down slightly before pushing in, so the hooks drop in.
